USA Today – The Maloof family is meeting with officials from Comcast to go over details of the plan which would cover a 25-year lease on a new arena in Virginia Beach and give naming rights and for broadcasting the games to the media company.

As a fan, this type of shit drives me nuts. The owners of the Kings have put a shitty product on the floor for the past 4 seasons, winning less than 25 games every year. So, when you suck, the fans stop coming. That doesn’t mean  you rip the team from its roots, fellas. That means you spend some fucking money and improve your product. Against the cap? Trade EVERYONE. Can’t afford to rebuild? Sell the team. It’s that simple. You don’t make a fanbase suffer through the shitty years, and then let Virginia fucking Beach reap the benefits of an improved team. Is there anything worse than being a Seattle basketball fan right now? Durant, Harden, and Westbrook look like a potential force for the next 5+ years, and you get to watch Oklahoma City drink your champagne. Just brutal.
