NHL lockout continues. All of Canada on suicide watch by Dutch

I had a call today with a Canadian client and when I asked him how his week was going he responds, “Can you believe the lockout is still going on?”  I go, “uh, yea, it’s crazy right?”  and literally had nothing more to contribute to the conversation.  I had no clue what he was talking about.  It wasn’t until after the call, I googled “lockout” and boom, NHL popped up.

Is anyone seriously talking about this?  I haven’t heard a peep.  I did some research and it’s all they can talk about in America’s hat region.  Every Canadien sports site is littered with NHL info.  What the hell are they reporting on, you ask.  NOTHING.  If you thought the coverage of the replacement refs was blanket coverage, you have no idea what’s going up there.  It’s a mess.

I literally feel bad for Canada.  Hockey is the only glue holding that country together is a sad sad realization.  The other sad thing is the one sport they are passionate about, they also aren’t the best at.  You’d think a country that devotes all it’s sports time and effort to hockey would be good.  But no, as usual, America still one-ups them in that department too.  And don’t give me that, “well Canadian players play on American teams!” nonsense.  If your people had any loyalty, they stay in Canada and play for those teams.  unfortunately, even your own athletes realize it’s better to be in the US.
