NFL Monday Night Football recap, Bears v Lions by Dutch

It would be nice if teams would stop giving this Chicago defense every reason to beat them.  4 turnovers by the Lions last night basically guaranteed a Bears win with minimal effort.  It wasn’t all Staffords fault if you look at the big picture.  His one interception was thrown on the run on 4th down near the 10.  The interception didn’t matter since the Bears would get the ball anyway.  But you combine that with a fumbled punt, a fumble on the goaline, and one more fumble, you’ve got problems my friend.

Cutler threw for a Tebow’esq 150 yards and took 5 sacks including a CRUSHING hit by Suh.  It looked like when you put hamburger between your palms and push.  The full out flattened Cutler to the point I thought he’d throw up his intestines.  But in the end, a mediocre performance is enough to get it done when the other team gives you the ball 4 extra times.  Bears win 13-7.

Side note, Brandon Marshall did his best pouty face sore loser impression calling the hit on Cutler by Suh “dirty” and tweeting “A Suh. What u did to Jay wasn’t cool. Great players don’t have to do that.”  Sure Brandon, it’s not like QB’s in the NFL are the most protected group of players in ANY sport.  Catchers in the MLB don’t even have a modicum of the type of rule restrictions on hits on them at the plate and they wear less padding.
